Father before I utter a word

I pray I am thoughtful

That I don't speak unwisely

And I don't invite a quarrel


Let my words be like honey

Sweet to the soul and uplifted

Help me be kind to everyone

And compassion is eagerly given


Help me listen to others

When they converse with me

And respond with encouragement
