It’s Friday But Sunday’s Coming

Last week I was studying about Christ’s death and resurrection while listening to Via Dolorosa. God blessed me with seven poems.


He is not here; for He has risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. Matthew 28:6


He was beaten flogged

And hung on a cross

This innocent man took death

To save all of the lost


He was placed in a tomb

By the ones who loved Him

Sadness must have been strong

But His light would not be dimmed


It’s Friday but Sunday’s coming

Jesus would rise from death

Giving hope to those who believe

With praise on their breath
