Hold My Tongue

The tongue also is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body. James 3:6


Everything I think does not

Need to come out of my mouth

God is teaching me this lesson

It is a hard one no doubt


In this rushed world we live in

We think we need to be heard

But not all thoughts need to be

Verbalized because some can hurt


I have found this is to my benefit

Because if I hold my tongue

I can listen better and try to

Understand and love another one
