His Great Love

But God commendeth His love toward us, in that,

while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8


His love for us is what caused

His horrible death on the cross

He asked to have it taken from Him

But God wanted to save the lost


He continued down the road

Never cowering from pain

Letting them torture and kill Him

Though he could have refrained


Thank You my Lord and King

For taking death for me

For giving me new life
