Hard Pressed

We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. 2 Corinthians 4:8-9


When this world tries to beat

Me down You take away the strife

Reminding me of all the ways

You are at work in my life


When I feel hard pressed

You tell me I’m not crushed

Giving me the strength to

Fight and not be hushed


When I feel perplexed You

Give me hope instead of despair

Reminding me of who I am in You

And nothing should I fear
