Choose Forgiveness

If anyone slaps you on the right cheek,

turn to them the other cheek also. Matthew 5:39


When someone hurts me

I feel the need to reciprocate

Sometimes I even want to

Return all of their hate


But God reminds me to

Turn the other cheek

To forgive what’s been done

To reflect pray and then speak


Father help me do what is good

When someone wants to fight

To return love for their hate

So His light will shine bright
