Sadness Into Song

To bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. Isaiah 61:3

God gives me beauty for ashes and pain

He has saved me and I don’t deserve it

Every valley teaches me to draw closer

To my Lord and to Him I will submit

All the storms show me

How much I need Him every day

He turns my sadness into song

To Him I kneel and pray

If you are tired and worn from life

Remember no trial will be wasted

Our Lord will use it all just

Bow down and embrace Him
