Let It Go

I know better than to give into anxiety. Hasn’t God taught this lesson to me over 7000 times? Don’t I know better? Yes I do, but I still have it. Satan is working overtime on us. He doesn’t want God’s work to continue in what we are doing everyday! I was filled with anxiety after joining a Whipple support group. I started reading about the cancer coming back for some people. And my mind went straight to anxiety. I thought I’m going to quit this group! It’s too hard to deal with the fear. Then God made me realize that was Satan talking. God gave me this poetry to help others, not hide! He encouraged me through people He has placed in my life! I’m continuing with what God wants me to do! I’m letting go of anxiety, worry and fear! If you have anxiety, I pray you can as well❤️

Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you! 1 Peter 5:7

Anxiety can get a grip
And hold me still
It can control my days
And alter my will

Anxiety can whisper things
That I know not to be true
And it can convince me
Of the worst life can do

Anxiety can take my sleep
And give me worry fear and dread
It can take my happy place
And turn it dark instead

Not today anxiety
I’m letting you know
My calling on Christ 
Is letting you go
