God’s Protection

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. Isaiah 43:2

I will not be set ablaze

As I walk through fire

God will keep me safe

Setting instead my heart on fire

I will not be swept away

When troubles take me like a flood

God will bring me out

Of all the water and the muck

I will not be overcome

By the struggles in this life

Because my God upholds me

And His power is in the fight
